INTERNATIONAL CONTEST: The culture of sustainable mobility always starts with ideas.

Take part in the maker contest promoted by Eni, ACI and Energy magazine!

Contest Name is: My sustainable city and it s open to everyone. It aims is to increase the quality of life of commuter citizens and to improve te air quality in the large urban centers for a safe and sustainable city and to make the mobility accessible.

Two subjects:

  • the analysis and the potential ways of managing large data available on urban mobility, in particular on public system flows, to optimize mobility systems and existing services;
  • The designing of innovative solutions for mobility infrastructure and mobility services with identification of hardware and software requirements to produce potential improvements


  • 1 package of hospitality (overnight stay, meals, passes and walkabouts) during the Formula One Italian Grand Prix in Monza, including a visit to the Eni’s Research Center in Bolgano, the heart of research on high performance green fuels. The prize will be awarded by Eni for a total maximum value of 10,000 Euro (Euro 10,000 / 00). Delivered by Eni
  • 1 Carnet of safe driving lessons, basic and advanced levels, plus a specific two – days electric cars driving course at the Vallelunga Autodrome delivered by ACI
  • 1 year – long subscription to the magazine “Energy”

Maker Faire Rome winners will be awarded with a free exhibition space where they will show off  their project .

Condition for participation:

The contestants must submit their application by November 15, 2017 to the following link:  my sustainable city .

The projects that have already submitted the Call for Maker 2017 are automatically admitted.

Evaluation criteria:

5 criteria:

  1. Environmental performance (i.e.:  emission reductions, territorial impact assessment, recycling, renewable energy use);
  2. Ability in responding to citizens’ concrete and unfulfilled needs;
  3. Potential improvement prospects for increasing citizens’ quality of life;
  4. Excellency and originality of the approach;
  5. The degree of maturity of the idea with respect to the probability, for the same, of actually translating into concrete; The real probability for the product to be on the market
  6. Intellectual property;

The intellectual property of submitted projects will remain within participants, notwithstanding potential arrangements to be settled subsequently between the two parties.
