Marco Kart, il girello di Marco

Marco Kart is a walker designed and realized for a child suffering from a rare disorder which allows him to walk but makes it strenuous and risky; our prototype aims to give Marco more freedom of movement.
The walker is shut on all sides and the child is inserted from above in a fabric structure which holds him up in case he falls. The braking system pledges safety and encourages the child to remain standing, as it activates when he sits down as well as when he falls.
In order to make the structure more pleasing to the eye we thought of disguising it as an octopus, using dye and fommy rubber.
